Prognos launched the Cluster-Dialog.NRW at the beginning of 2022 in order to strengthen networking between the clusters and networks active throughout the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the activities of the NRW.innovativ competence centre and to promote cooperation between relevant stakeholders. The new networking initiative serves to exchange information and experience between the existing clusters and networks in NRW. In addition, the cluster dialogue will focus on new topics and technologies as well as fields of innovation.

Around 25 active clusters and networks from NRW are involved in this initiative, such as the Kompetenznetzwerk Umweltwirtschaft.NRW (KNUW), which Prognos manages together with partners. The cluster dialogue pursues a needs-oriented bottom-up approach.

The NRW Cluster Panorama documents the initial findings from the talks and discussions held as part of the cluster dialogues. Unused potential and future focus topics for the Cluster-Dialogue.NRW were discussed and derived. As part of these activities, general fields of action and five subject areas were crystallised from a bottom-up process in which the NRW clusters and networks see the greatest short and medium-term potential and starting points for the NRW innovation ecosystem.
